Daiwa Shoreline Shiner Z Vertice

Sometimes it’s all too easy to get wrapped up with the newest fads from the newest “cool” lure companies, that we forget how many solid lures from manufacturers like Daiwa and Shimano are available and more importantly how productive they are!

I’ve noticed many anglers getting locked into what’s currently being pushed in the industry and forgetting about the vast quantity of quality lures already available from other companies

With this on my mind, I packed a handful of hard lures that I know have been gathering dust in the shop and headed out with a friend for a day of chasing seagulls in hopes of finding some shoals of bass

We found the gulls, and the bass were in good numbers! Overall, we must have boated over 25 fish each, with most of mine falling to the Shoreline Z Vertice, what we did notice was the numbers of fish that were tracking this shallow running lure!

At one point, there were over a dozen fish tracking the lure, and it was more of a guessing game as to which fish was going to commit first.

I think a lot of us get caught up all too easily with which lure our favourite anglers are using or companies promoting, and forget that there’s a world of established lures out there that are better suited to where we’re fishing.

But this is just the thoughts of a guy who sits in a tackle shop watching trends play out, colours come and go and general popularities flood and ebb (that’s a great pun, and I’m keeping it)

Bottom line of this is that locally this lure isn’t used enough, it’s ideal for our ground conditions, and it will put more fish on the bank or boat
